Sardis Tennis

Programming and head coaching are provided by Eric Abrams, Sardis head pro and founder of Blue Square Tennis, a Charlotte tennis academy for high-performing juniors based out of Sardis. 

With decades of experience on the court — as a competitor, a collegiate athlete, and a coach — Coach Eric knows that tennis isn’t just about a pretty swing. That’s why players training with Coach Eric and the Blue Square Tennis team can expect to focus on technical skills, strategy, and mental toughness in addition to stroke fundamentals. The result? A winning program where players gain confidence through competence, learn from their losses, and never stop improving.

Sardis players can be found year-round on the courts practicing, competing in Queen City and USTA league matches, or playing socially with friends. (After all, we’re here to have fun above all else!) As a close-knit community, players can often be found together off the court, too — a testament to the welcoming and supportive environment the club values.

Youth Tennis at Sardis

Coach Eric and Blue Square Tennis work with youths of all ages, from the littlest players taking their first swings to competitive juniors taking their game to the next level.

• Week-long summer camps emphasize fun (ages 7-12)
• 10-week Quick Start programs build on fundamentals (ages 7-12)
• Juniors Academy serves competitive athletes (ages 8-18) seeking high-level instruction and structured training

Families do not need to be Sardis members to participate in Quick Start or Academy offerings.

Not a Sardis member? 

No problem — we offer a range of Charlotte tennis clinics open to the public. (Note that non-members are required to pay a $5 guest fee per visit, which can be purchased here.) 

Here’s how you can connect with Sardis Tennis without a membership:

• Come to Paul’s! Join Coach Paul Graham’s LEGENDARY daily drop-in clinic on Court 9. Clinics are co-ed and best suited for players ranging from intermediate to 4.0+ level. Paul offers morning and evening options, and the start time changes according to the season. No RSVP necessary! For more details, text Paul at (704) 488-7638. 
• Attend a clinic. In some cases, a non-member may be able to join a closed clinic. See a Sardis tennis clinic you’d like to try? Chat with a pro to learn more!
• Take a private lesson. Arrange for private or semi-private lessons to optimize your tennis training.
